Below is information on trainings hosted by the Wisconsin Arborist Association, Blue Heron Stewardship chainsaw training and the Urban and Community Forestry Society.
WAA 2024 Fall Seminar: Review, Reflect, Project: An Evolution Of Arboriculture
Please join the Wisconsin Arborist Association for the Fall Seminar. Two Tracks of Education, one indoors and one outdoors, will be offered, covering several arboricultural topics. Early bird registration ends Oct. 1, 2024.

Up to six CEUs will be available to those who attend the whole day. A buffet lunch, refreshments and snacks are included with registration. More information and registration are available on the WAA website.
Safety And Woods Worker Chainsaw Training (SAWW)
These courses must be taken sequentially. Participants must bring all PPE (eye protection, helmet, chaps, suitable footwear and gloves), chainsaw and any tools used to maintain the saw and sharpen the chain. Please bring a bag lunch.

Municipal Forestry Institute
The Municipal Forestry Institute is designed for individuals who plan, manage or advocate for urban forestry initiatives and aspire to become more effective leaders. Graduates of the Municipal Forestry Institute include many professionals who make daily tree planting and tree care decisions, including municipal and state employees, private industry professionals, and non-profit staff.

Diversity scholarships are available to individuals who identify as a racial or ethnic minority and individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community to cover the cost of tuition plus a $500 travel stipend. Those who qualify may indicate their interest in their application.
