Green Bay can’t wait for arborists to return for the WAA and Wisconsin DNR Annual Winter Conference! The program committee outdid themselves again with this year’s lineup.

Sunday starts off with three educational sessions followed by a noteworthy networking welcome reception where you can eat till your stomach’s satisfied while rekindling old friendships. You can choose to play the Urban Forestry Council’s Arbor-Master Trivia (bragging rights and prizes will be awarded to the winners) or attend the FermenTreEvent on its new night and time. You can’t go wrong with either choice!

Monday and Tuesday include two full days of education with general and concurrent sessions, Climbers’ Corner in the Exhibit Hall, an Introductory Track, the Business Track and the Utility Track. Visit the Practical Arborist Solution Sessions in the Exhibit Hall for a little hands-on training and ask questions in a smaller setting during Monday’s Climbers’ Corner. The annual WAA business meeting will be held Monday evening to vote for the new WAA board members, followed by the Exhibitor Social with the famous blue-light special. Proceeds support the WAA’s Student Scholarship Fund.

This conference is intended for professional arborists, community foresters, nursery professionals, park and recreation directors and staff, tree care workers, landscape architects, green industry professionals, community administrators, volunteers and students.

Registration Details

  • Registration is available online until Feb. 11. (Walk-ups will be welcome at the conference at delayed pricing.)
  • Early Bird Discount available until Feb. 2.
  • Registration Fees:
    • Early Bird Registration: $300 for WAA members, $325 for nonmembers and $70 for full-time students
    • Sunday Only: $150 for WAA members and $175 for nonmembers
    • Monday Only: $160 for WAA members and $185 for nonmembers
    • Tuesday Only: $150 for WAA members and $175 for nonmembers
    • Delayed Registration Fee (after Feb. 2): add $45 per person (except students)
